TUTORIAL: Shaped cover
In this tutorial you will learn how to create a shaped binding. A shaped binding is based on a basic binding and can really add character to a piece of work.
Step 1: What you need 2 sheets of card scissors masking tape stapler	Step 2: Making the cover To make the cover cut a 1 inch strip from the edge of one of the cards.	Step 3: Taping the hinge Place the strip and card beside each other but leave a small gap. Use masking tape to bind the two pieces of card together. This will be your hinged cover.
Step 4: Compiling the book Sandwich the contents of the book between the single sheet of card (which will be the back cover), and the hinged cover that you just made.	Step 5: Stapling the hinge Staple the book together through the small hinge. Make sure to get close to the inner edge.	Step 6: The finished product The book is now bound and is ready to decorate.
